The British Safety Council needed a new site with a simple content management system. The site would act as a portal to information and the learning management system, and had to be integrated with an online store, providing on demand access to the LMS, adding an additional revenue stream. Finally, the site needed to integrate seamlessly with their Salesforce CRM.

This vision for an integrated online presence involved complex development work, to assure the highest possible accessibility, availability, usability andperformance for diverse audiences, whatever their learning requirement.

Webanywhere worked in close partnership with the British Safety Council to understand their offering, their structure and their business goals during project initiation. This resulted in the creation of an engaging, feature rich new site built using the popular open source content management system, Drupal. Webanywhere also provided full art and creative direction for the site, and developed an integrated LMS, hosting all British Safety Council elearning content. Other features of the web solution include:

  • eCommerce integration to deliver an online store for the British Safety
  • Council’s elearning material.
  • Training course search / interactive calendar.
  • Secure login to a ‘community hub’ member area for knowledge sharing and social networking.

Britsafe.org integrates wholly with Britsafe’s existing Salesforce CRM to support and manage their customer base, improving administrative efficiencies.

Due to the success of this project, the British Safety Council retained Webanywhere to work on a range of other elearning projects, including helping LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games) deliver health and safety training to over 100,000 workers at the London 2012 Olympic Games, in a range of languages.

We chose to partner with Webanywhere because of their unique ability to truly ‘stretch beyond’ to deliver a highly complex project within budget and very tight timescales. With the objective of driving new commercial and training services to new and existing members, the British Safety Council turned to us to undertake its complex website and elearning platform redevelopment project. The outcome was a new LMS based learning management system, fully integrated with a new Drupal website and Salesforce CRM, delivered on time and to budget.
